Take-Home Learning — STAR AI
Take-home learning

It's not the project. It's what they learn from it.

Students take selected builds home — but the model isn't a giveaway or a finished product. It's a tool they keep learning from: rebuilding it, changing it, breaking it, and turning one guided project into ideas nobody assigned.

What we care about is what happens to the child's thinking: curiosity, confidence, creativity, problem-solving, and the ability to create independently.

What we measure

The model is the tool. This is the outcome.

A finished build looks impressive on a shelf. What matters is whether the child can explain it, change it, fix it when it breaks, and use what they learned on something entirely different.

For families

You'll see the learning, not just the model

Because the build comes home, parents get a front-row seat. Ask your child to show you how it works and why they made a choice — that explanation is the clearest evidence of progress there is, and it's the one we care about most.
